Recruiter, Human Resources


The Recruiter is a Full Time role located in Philadelphia, PA. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Full Time staff are eligible for all of our exciting benefits, including health insurance and over five weeks of paid time off!

  • Develops a recruitment strategy; implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify recruitment needs.
  • Establishes recruitment relationship with external sources; conducts in-person and on-line recruitment at local job fairs (colleges, universities, etc.)
  • Represents Mental Health Partnerships (MHP) at Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) graduation events.
  • Hosts in-person and on-line job fairs at MHP.
  • Trains managers regarding recruitment/onboarding tasks in HRIS system.
  • Drafts recruitment advertisements, using most effective and diverse sources; manages relationships and contracts with advertising sites.
  • Processes new hires, transfers, separations in HRIS system; updates vacancy log as required.
  • Ensures that all licensing and talent aspects of HRIS are managed properly.
  • Ensure that legal compliance is met in onboarding.
  • Establishes templates for recruiting letters, and e-mails.
  • Recommends final offers to HR Manager and makes final offers to employees.
  • Manages relationships with Staffing agencies under terms of approved contract. 
  • Sets up PPD Screenings and Physical Exams.
  • Serves as new hire orientation back-up.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Reports any activities that may violate established laws, regulations, policies or procedures. Raises questions about any actions contrary to law or policy taken by another staff member or employee or self, and reports the matter to management or to the Director – Quality Improvement & Compliance and/or Human Resources.
  • Other duties as assigned to fulfill MHP's mission.


  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration OR SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification.

  • 5 years of HR recruitment experience.

  • 3 years' experience working with an HRIS system.

  • Experience in Behavioral Health field a plus.

  • Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, time sheet management, reporting, internet research, etc. using relevant software such as HRIS and Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Strong skillsets in oral and written communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork, attention to detail, customer service, time management, problem solving and organization.

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

  • Effective project and process management skills as demonstrated from past work experience. 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
