The Recovery Host is a full time role located at 7200 Chestnut Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082. The pay rate is $13.00 per hour. Full Time staff are eligible for all of our exciting benefits, including health insurance and over five weeks of paid time off!

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Warmly answers calls and greets all participants, staff and guests; prepares coffee and refreshments.

  • Organizes lists and manages use of laundry machines, showers and computers.
  • Performs routine vehicle maintenance as required.
  • Maintains security of site and safety of participants by completing rounds; acts as a liaison/mediator/negotiator with participant disputes and/or disagreements; effectively deals with crises including medical and psychiatric emergencies.
  • Obtains necessary information during the intake process, and collaboratively documents their progress in MHP's electronic health records system; ensures that all data is correct by verifying the information with the participant.
  • Maintains required documentation, including but not limited to, daily logs and progress notes, shift reports, Incident Reports and housing applications.
  • Responsible for maintenance of program/site vehicles, including but not limited to transporting vehicles to and from auto repair shop for service, annual inspections, etc. 
  • Complies with all other established quality and regulatory standards, including supervision and training requirements.
  • Maintains compliance with all MHP policies and procedures. Reports known conduct taken by any MHP employee (including yourself) which violates any MHP policy or law on which you have been trained, or should know of, such as laws criminalizing theft or violent crimes, and reports the matter to management or to the Director - Quality Improvement & Compliance and/or Human Resources.
  • Assists with housekeeping and facility duties as needed, such as shoveling, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned to fulfill MHP's mission.

ENTRY LEVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma/GED required. 
  • 2 years of recent work experience required (including internships and volunteer work).
  • Credentialed as a Certified Peer Specialist is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, time sheet management, electronic health records, internet research, etc. and the ability to learn software applications relevant to your position.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Certified or has the ability to be certified in First Aid/CPR.
